Does anyone know how many games a 34 or 35 yr old needs to play in order to avoid retirement the following season ?

Depends on the retirement system but in this league it appears there's not a specific amount of games, ab's, IP, etc. a player has. The below is from the game guide. Systems 2 and 3 use more specific measurements.
System 1
Players on active rosters aged 34 and older retire based on several factors, which includes:
Performance during the previous season
Amount of playing time during the previous season
Age
Players who have won a World Series ring are more likely to retire
If they won the most recent World Series, they are even more likely to retire
Players who were traded during the previous season are more likely to retire
Players with high leadership are less likely to retire
Waiver wire players aged 30-33 will retire if they have an F Mentoring score and did not play in the previous season
