Probably a career ending injury too - he's 36 and wasn't playing much anyway.
On the bright side, if his injury is the last one he just got me the #2 pick of the draft the way things stand right now.

Veteran Rebel catcher Roger Oates returned from the DL today after a 17 day injury. Pinch hitting in his return to the batter's box, he was hit by a Beau Butter's pitch. After the game it was revealed Oates suffered a season ending injury.Probably a career ending injury too - he's 36 and wasn't playing much anyway.
On the bright side, if his injury is the last one he just got me the #2 pick of the draft the way things stand right now.

It wasn't the HBP that put him on the DL... it was the fight when he charged the mound.

anyone got the lotto update heading into game 162? Minnesota lottery site is off-limits at my job...i mean, i can only imagine what might happen to the company if we were permitted to view lottery results from a million miles away

CHN won 7 in Sept, PIT won 7. PIT won on 8/31, CHN lost. So PIT would be NL 8th and CHN NL 7th.
So I've come up with:
1st pick - NL 8th - Pittsburgh
2nd pick - AL 8th - Kansas City
3rd pick - AL 4th - Detroit

DET won 13 in Sept, WAS won 16. I believe this means WAS is AL 5th and DET is AL 4th. (This assumes that the team that wins the tiebreaker gets the lower spot in the standings - more chances).CHN won 7 in Sept, PIT won 7. PIT won on 8/31, CHN lost. So PIT would be NL 8th and CHN NL 7th.
