tight race continues! SF still in it but I'mgoing to say FLA wins the playoff spot. I finish the year against SF, so unless one of us ssweepsthe other... itll be tough for 1 of us to make it. FLA finishes the year with a series against the first place team who has the luxury of resting EVERY single starter... so FLA will be playing a total 'B' team that probably would be dead last if played out a full season.

scheduling is HUGE!

that is one good thing about not running away with the division for the first time in a few years, resting and unresting all these jerks is an annoying chore!

wow 5 games left time to get hot fellas...i thought there was like 10-15 more lol.

well well well, Criminals vs. Ballbusters, best of 3 for a playoff spot. won't be our first high-stakes encounter! Florida needs to sweep COL and a non-sweep in SF-BRO series to force a playoff.

If it comes down to it, FLA has the tie breaker over me.... And SF has the tie breaker over FLA based on season head to head...

or is there a 1 game playoff? I forgot how it works

If it ties, there will be a 1 game playoff.
The tie break will decide who will play at home in this game.

well it was a fun year for the dirty old men of san fran. in hindsight we should've definitely overpaid for another bat. we still made a nice run at the end, coming back from 5-6 games down to be in it on the final weekend.

good luck all in the playoffs!

had at least a 4 gm lead most of the2nd half of the season and it boiled down to getting swept by Chicago, a team iIdominated all year, with 6 gms to go.

I was probably less surprised by the sweep than you were. I think the problem was you over-dominated us. We're not that horrible a team, we have a few solid starters in Matheny and Birmingham, two young stars in Kelly and Venafro and solid vets in Cardenas and Sakuri. To be 2-19 against any team prior to the final series was extreme, Abe just evened it out I guess.

Those wins could screw us out of the top pick, so yeah I wish you won one of them now.

Good luck to both teams in the tie breaker, should be a great game and a great series against the Highlanders.

rdvinski, actually those win are getting you the first pick in the lottery, if there is no injuries in the tie break game.

Congrats playoff teams, and congrats to DharmaBums and Paul too. We were 7 games out with 18 to go and 6 games out with 15 to go, then we went 11-4 and WAS went 4-11. This was the greatest comeback I ever seen in SD and included two decisives extra innings wins against Washington on the road after my closer blows the save. You can't doubt a team like this, I expect a great post-season performance.

DharmaBums, we had a great race and I expect you coming back stronger next season!

rdiv, wasn't trying to take anything away from your team... after going 19-2 against you for the year Iwas surprised iIcldnt even win 1 game, which would have helped me quite a bit.

IIt'sa tough league and iIwould have liked to avoid this 1 game set to make the playoffs.

mMyspelling assist is screwing up the spelling on here for some reason... no im nNotdrunk when iIwrite here

No worries Satyr, we're all good. I would be frustrated too by the sweep at a crucial point in the year.

You will have many more chances with the team you built, it's solid.

Highlanders-Black Sox, a historic series as it is the first ever AL championship for the Chicago franchise (though not if you include the previous installation).

now all 16 franchises have reached the World Series, I believe 11 are by the current owner.

Thanks Paul. It was a fun season in the CPBL...some great races and a 7 game World Series. We needed every break we got this year. Good luck to all in the off-season!

Congrats Colorado! 109 wins in the regular season and more 8 in the post season.

Also congrats to Bradyo22, you took a franchise that were often the last place and you put it in the World Series, great job.
