Race to the bottom

I feel like Rachel Phelps right now. For days I've had a steady three-game lead over Philly for last place. Now it's six! My boys insist on fighting for every last win. We've had some fantastic walk-off's lately. I will always field the best team I can (except for playing 20 somethings who might have a prayer of developing), but here's to a Predator surge!

I should have the first pick in the draft. I'm not going to select him. If you can get number 2, he's yours.

On top of this I did not think my team would be this bad this season which is why I traded away my pick earlier to Seattle.

Seriously funny statement by Duff77. Although you may think I am tanking I am trying very hard to win to try and avoid a 100 loss season which is a negative for your owner points. My lineup is a rebuild lineup with all 20 year olds except one veteran so not much I can do. Plus why would I tank when I do not hold the number 1 pick this draft ??? Seattle does because of an earlier trade. My goal is to get to at least 63 wins to avoid the 100 loss penalty but that is looking pretty dim right now.On top of this I did not think my team would be this bad this season which is why I traded away my pick earlier to Seattle.

The pitcher steroids got in that trade is actually better than the pitcher everyone is clamouring for in the draft. Steroids pitcher will have 3 full seasons of peak improves while the draftee pitcher will start his career with his only 2. If I'm the top pick I'm taking the SS Ketchum. I don't need pitching at this point.

I was just trying to have a little fun -- nothing more nothing less.
Also, remember that I am new to this league and have not played SimD in nearly a decade -- so I didn't even know there *was* a 100 loss penalty. Someone enlighten me.

Goodness no, I was not implying there was any tanking going on, and obviously I hadn't noticed that Philly doesn't have the #1 pick. I was just remarking on how tight the race for last has been. I would love to have the #1 pick of course if things work out that way, but I'm putting the best team on the field that I can and I was not implying that anyone else wasn't.I was just trying to have a little fun -- nothing more nothing less.
