Sometimes, the best trades are those that get rejected. I tried packaging him with a pick to get a pitcher when he was a rookie and it was turned down by an owner whose since left the league. Thankfully.
Although now that's he's gotten to 500, his roster spot is getting pretty precarious.

Wild Rover Carl Bochy became just the 13th player in league history to hit 500 Home Runs last night.Sometimes, the best trades are those that get rejected. I had a guy get to 500 three years ago, so its quite an achievement.
The 2236 draft was pretty special, least the other owners who picked the six guys before him kick themselves.
Bochy is now the obvious #1 choice but Washington's Harry Moreno wasn't far behind at 10. There were six other players who were at least six time all-stars.
Only five players in the first round failed to become an all-star and 66 all-star selections from the first round in total with an additional 24 selections from the second round.
That was a great draft!
