I will caveat this by reporting DET has an 18YO in the S5 slot. Don't know if it's tanking or he just hasn't had time to clean up. That could create a large diversion between the prediction and reality.

If you notice the 18yo Meeker was to be a minor league bust last season (0-39), he prob called him up to try and jump-start him... to find-out if he will collect CPs in the bigs (2-14). Has that ever worked for anyone?

Buzzz hit the nail on the head. Due to me having no experience with the development system a little I was given a little advice and thought I'd give it a try. If it's against the rules just let me know

Absolutely not against the rules, but it doesn't really ever work because it even if he's a gem in majors, it will be 5 seasons before he's even average

Also, tanking is legal in this league. Gentleman agreement since tanking rules couldn't pass.

If that. I've had a couple of minor league busts, major league gems. You have to play them in the majors to get them to be even average. And they are just awful as they IC up.
I don't have ever have a problem with anyone trying to get the improves out of a guy unless he is a complete bust. One season up in the majors and now improves, then he never will.
It makes no sense for a bust/gem guy to ever be in the minors because if he's not getting improves in the minors, playing him season after season only means you're delaying his development even more, when you've still got to play him in the majors to improve.

If your in rebuild seems like a nice canidate for SP. Am not totally following you guys, if he's gonna collect 0 cps in the minors; and he collects CPs in the majors... what wrong with that?

That's what we are saying. The only problem is he will be terrible for a long, long time as a bust/gem.

I don't have a problem with. My point is, that in my experience, the player is terrible for a long time and never really duplicates the development you get in the minors. Your left with an average player who has caused you to suck for many seasons

Wrap Up: AL not bad,
NL was a disaster. SBP shut all the nay-sayers up. I still think AZ should be better and that AZ should fire the Manager. I believe what the real issue is that my model does not reward/punish for defensive ratings. It would take too much time. Congrats to Brooklyn for finishing strong and sneaking in the playoffs!
