Both West teams were paired off against both East teams in both leagues for the Division series. Or the West teams won the East Divisions but then which West teams won the East division ??

The way the playoffs are set up this season there will be no National League East or American League East Division Champs as both leagues have only West teams playing.Both West teams were paired off against both East teams in both leagues for the Division series. Or the West teams won the East Divisions but then which West teams won the East division ??

Maybe the wildcard should be removed and just have the top two teams for each division play each other then you would have the National East champ playing against the National West champ to see who goes to the Championship against the American Champ the way it should be.
