ABE loves to hate me

Forget the past few years where I believed I had the best team in the N.L. only to get ripped in the playoffs...
The last two seasons have shown me how much ABE resents me.
Last season, I played my young guys for the whole season, only to put my starters back in a few games before the playoffs to set my lineup only to come back to find that the two studs I put back into the lineup are hurt.
Now this, I play my youngsters for the entirety of the season and I come back to insert my studs back in only to find that one of the best hitters of game, Steve Sullivan, has suffered a catastrophic injury before the playoffs...in the 2nd to last game of the year.
Sure, I could have rested these guys, but the time difference between where I live and when the games are simmed means I would have had to do it 20 games out which is pretty unrealistic.
I fully expect to either get swept by losing each game 1-0 in the bottom of the 9th, or just another tragic game 7 defeat. I am onto you ABE

I can relate to your frustrations don4593. Maybe thats the genius of this game is that it seems like the odds are against (when there not) which makes winning nicer. Plus last season in my humble opinion had the strongest 4 teams in the playoffs that can recall. So your competing against stiff compitition... but ya the injuries youv'e had:puzzled::mad:

I never rest my guys before the playoffs, too many times where I forgot to make changes.
There is such a wide gulf in the NL (and the AL) where the top teams can get away with playing younger players the whole season and increasing their IC chances. Which in turn can keep them at the top longer.
I agree with Buzzz, the top four teams are so dominant. I looked at the beginning of last season and each of the top 4 had 3 A starters, at least 1 A reliever and two A position players... almost all the A players were in the hands of those four clubs.
When it comes to the postseason, any one of the four could win. I think the last three world series were all seven games.
