With Jeff Rosello (30th pick in 2137) winning both the ALCS MVP (1.197 OPS) and WS MVP (.961) with a .500 OB% combined all the late 2nd round picks should stand up to be saluted.
OAK's lineup includes, along with Rosello:
Jeff Rucker (#32 pick in 2141), team HR and RBI Leader (27 HR and 122 RBI) only starting 104 games due to injuries and platoon.
Arthur Nagelson (#31 pick in 2145), Gold Glove CF, leadoff hitter v righties, 90 runs scored in 441 AB, 36 SB.
Brett DeBerry (#30 in 2141), platoon v lefty, .292 Avg, 29 Runs and 29 RBI in 271 ABs.
Johnny Thompson (#44 in 2149), backup catcher appearing in 72 games.
Also, a salute to four likely retiring RiverHounds:
Slowbro Johnson (#13 in 2128), 484 Career HR and 1826 Career RBI.
Charlie Chamberlain (#16 in 2131), Career .296 Avg and .370 OB%. Threw out 805 of 1841 potential steals.
Nose Clark (#4 in 2131), Career 212-72 Record with 3.23 ERA.
Gene Meyers (#7 in 2133), 2-Time Cy Young Winner.

Congrats on another great season and winning the WS. As you have pointed out, there are a lot of good player still to be had in the 2nd round.
