Remember this league was cloned from another Variable Development league that was a bit more mature than ours. So, it will be interesting to see in 5-7 seasons how the talent level goes...up or down as a whole..

There is simply a lot of talent floating around. It is ridiculous to look at most of the teams rosters. There are hardly any easy games on the Red Sox schedule...Remember this league was cloned from another Variable Development league that was a bit more mature than ours. I'm 13 games over .500 but still 8 GB of 2nd, and tied for 4th! Both leagues are crazy. It's fun. Trade deadline is 9/1 so we have 3 real days left after today...

I'm having a hard time convincing myself to buy - or sell - right now. I'm 10-4 vs the best team in the league, and still 12 games back of them!!!I'm 13 games over .500 but still 8 GB of 2nd, and tied for 4th! Both leagues are crazy. It's fun. I feel like my team isn't playing as well as they should be, probably due to the other teams talent levels. I do, however, feel like my team is getting punched in the face.....almost daily in fact. My starting SS was out for almost a month, my first round pitcher missed 3-4 starts, and my starting first baseman is now on his second DL stint this season. ABE is killing me. :)

I should have known when I saw the predictions that this team would struggle. I can't figure this team out, maybe I should have left it alone, it couldn't be much worse. Oh well that's the way it goes and the sad part is it will be the worst AL team in a year or two, yeah it's bloody brutal.

I don't understand my team, should be in 1st by a long shot and instead im 4 games back losing 2 outta 3 to texas...

I guess my team is the only one performing above expectations. My pitching has been consistently solid as expected, although i didnt think my offense was going to be good enough to make the playoffs for 1950 at least, but theyve been the best offense in the league so far. ... I traded for Monte Thomas who i thought would just be a solid bottom of the order guy but hes been hitting like a MVP all year. I'll take it though... im sure we'll cool down a bit eventually but i think the gap is far too big for OAK and TB to close in on us this year at least.
