Interesting Challenge...

In the Suggest Enhancement Forum, someone is requesting a multi-team trade option. The poster argued the necessity of such a function, citing a convoluted Team A, B, and C scenario in which team A is at the end of contention, team B is stuck in the third place rut, and team C is finishing a rebuild and ready to contend.

While I feel that mutli-team trades are a rarity in the MLB and that to include it in Sim Dynasty would be more headache than help, it brings up an interesting point. Has anyone here ever pulled off a multi-team trade? If so, how did you accomplish it? Is there anyone here that would be interested in discussing possibilities of such a move?

I once tried to do it in the LWL and it blew up in my face. Of course, the owner was extremely paranoid and was later banned. Seems unnecessary.

I agree that it is rare in MLB and not worth the programming time it would take to implement. It could be done under the current system, however, with three owners who trusted each other and set it up before hand via U2Us. Of course the three way trust would be the key to it working.

A few GMs in the JML have been doing this for years...

Team A is competing, they get the 32 year olds
Team B is building toward competing, they get the 26 year olds
Team C is rebuilding, they get the 21-22 year olds

And they just trade with one another, over and over again.

When you put it like that it sounds like collusion... it's not the hashers guys, is it? dieter and... whatever the other guy's name is? They were running a few franchises in the Bruce Sutter League years back, swapping playoff runs between Washington and Milwaukee...
