Willing to deal pitching

February 13, 2009 at 05:07AM View BBCode

might be looking to deal a few older players for young talent. Anyone 32 and over available, but this team as is could still compete next year, so if you want any of my top talent, offer stuff that would make it worth disassembling a playoff caliber team. Quality over quantity. I'd prefer to deal to the A.L. so as not to have to face these guys 20 times next season.

I have some interest in your RPs. I'd like a couple of them. Don't bother coming for Moore. He's untouchable.

Don't worry, Dwight, I'm not "coming for" any of your players. Like I said, I'm willing to deal, but not desperate to part with these guys. I'm not going to GO to an NL team and make a bunch of offers to give them my players so that they can beat me 20 times next season. I MAY make a few offers to AL teams, and maybe even an NL team or two. But I'm not going through the rigamarole of making 20 offers and getting "no that's not enough" back as the only reply.

If someone is indeed interested in my players, they'll make an offer. If I get no offers, then no one is really interested, and I'm content to go into this season with my team intact and take my chances on making the playoffs again.

But if you're coming out right off the blocks saying Moore is unavailable, then you aren't really THAT interested in my pitching, because honestly, what else are you willing to offer that would make it WORTH it to me to dismantle my playoff team? I'm not looking for a handful of utility players and a third round pick or two. I'm looking for young quality, and if you're not willing to part with Moore, why would you part with something BETTER?

I'm just saying that I am willing to hear offers for my experienced players, whereas others might say "I'm not looking to deal anyone who will hurt my chances of winning this year."

So if you're really interested, make an offer. I might actually accept it on first sight (although that's rare, so holding your breath is optional and NOT recommended).

Best of luck to all!

I just wanted two RPs not you to dismantle your whole team.

OK, well, offers are always welcome. Thanks for the interest!

Oh, and act fast, because I already have sent offers out involving my pitching!
