What movies are you gonna see over the holiday?

The movies I'm interested in but probably won't see them all in the theater:

I Am Legend - What can I say the trailer got me
Charlie Wilson's War - Aaron Sorkin!
Walk Hard - Apatow has a good track record, but this movie looks like it could be a disaster
Sweeney Todd - Stephen Sondheim!

I'll be seeing all of those except Charlie Wilson's War--I kinda soured on Tom Hanks after the Da Vinci Code.

If "I'm Not There" ever plays in Bellingham I'll be seeing that one as well...

I just looked at a map, holy crap is Bellingham close to Canada.

I forgot another one--"There Will Be Blood" looks like it will be 50 shades of bad-ass...

I hope so. It would be nice to see PT Anderson crawl back out of his ass and into the light of day.

Charlie Wilson's War looks great! Tom Hanks issues aside, it's based on a real guy. He was a nut job, but who sets out to do the impossible and actually contributes to it happenning?

I saw The Golden Compass this weekend (not my pick) wasn't horrid but not great either. Fine for an 8 year old out for an adventure movie.

It looks more like that one Ricky Bobby Talladega disaster that he was involved in (which I saw *sob* and have yet to recover from) then those other flicks he's done. (Although the little Dylan bit from the previews made me giggle.)

(But I won't be risking this one, no sir.)

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if that was one I could take my seven year old to...

I'm so glad I can take him to stuff like that now instead of the annoying cartoon movies. They haven't made a really good one since The Incredibles.

The Incredibles was boss.

You guys didn't like Cars? Or just didn't see it?

I never saw Cars, because the Nascar is, you know, retarded.

The Incredibles is quite awesome though, can't wait for the inevitably disappointing sequel...

Give it a chance. It's entertaining.

Next you're going to say you think Larry the Cable Guy is a cretin?

Cars was pretty cool. Not nearly as Nascar as you'd think.

How about a 23 year old who's hoping for something like the Lord of the Rings

It's not Lord of the Rings. Its more Narnia than Middle Earth. Although the message of course is a complete 180 from Narnia.

They did, which is why I'll be skipping it. Now it's just Narnia without the subversion...

I know Larry the Cable Guy is a cretin. This is an indisputable fact. I love Pixar flicks, but he is what kept me away from Cars.

Golden compass is god hating drivel. I for one will be boycotting this film. Who's with me?

This film brought a tear to my eye. A masterpiece of the cinema.
