I think most Angel fans are hoping Frankie's money goes to Teixeira. I know I am. (The [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDVz9IozMU8]Angels' version of the Downfall joke[/url] said it best.)

I must have missed the memo, but does a [url=http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=281005102]"solid effort"[/url] now entail simply not losing the game? I could have sworn that giving up a walk, single, walk (and then getting out of the inning) is not the most desireable means of prolonging a game.Not to mention that the better closer in the game pitched one more inning than Frankie.

you should be happy about that. probably the only dim spot for the angels is shields might be tired for the game tonight. that boy can really pitch.
probably rodriguez will lose it for the angels tonight. the mets will pay him off anyway.

I was on the phone with my dad when Papelbon came in to the game in the 10th. My paraphrased comment was: "The only chance for the Angels now is scoring in the 12th after Papelbon pitches two innings. It won't get that far, though... Frankie will lose it in the bottom."I was almost right about Frankie, but good thing the other half came true instead.
