Just improving my depth at the catcher position by moving 1 of a few outfielders that are all quite similar to me and a 3rd round pick, which is just a lottery ticket. Stairs provides me some insurance should Lazzeri retire.

For Atlanta, we had decided to move forward with Foulke as our catcher... that left Stairs and Chagnon (who are pretty much the same all-or nothing batters) fighting over the backup at-bats and doing their Evan Gattis impression in left field while Bolero recovered from injury. Picking up a couple of years of playability while clearing up the backup catcher position seemed a prudent thing to do and the deal was done.

A trade has been completed between the Los Angeles Miracles and the Texas Hamiltonians. The Texas Hamiltonians receive Doug Ross, Eddie Cero from the Los Angeles Miracles in exchange for Ima Likachyk .
So this is my second straight overpay, by BHL standards, because I think we can make a run this year. Likachyk has already gone through one round of declines but he's still a red letter SP with reasonable endurance and decent health so in a max injury league he's valuable if only for 2 years. In return I give up Ross, who is a reasonable option at the back of the rotation and a high contact low power 20 year old prospect in Cero.
I'm comfortable with a short term option at SP as I have Coyne and de Santis in the wings and I have a number of minor league hitters with similar skill sets to Cero .

based on this thread I need to actually pay attention to how many at bats he's getting and I have no interest in doing that

As TwoRoosters said, this is fair value or better for a declining SP in the BoHo right now. Likachyk has been very valuable for us, but is at best for me a 3/4 guy right now; and I have a younger option ready to move into that slot this season with Rettenmund and Mesa.
Doug Ross is a valuable #5 piece and is younger than Likachyk ... in 3 years I think he'll be the better option of the two.
Cero has had very good improvements and is worth holding onto in hopes of eventually turning into an everyday player with A+ health. I'm happy with it and we'll see how it goes.

Trade #1512157 has been completed between the St. Louis Men In Laundry and the San Francisco Sea Lions. The San Francisco Sea Lions receive John Hanning, Camp Lutzke, July Weiser, Manuel Bowles, Draft Pick - 2109 Round 1 (STL), Draft Pick - 2108 Round 1 (STL) from the St. Louis Men In Laundry in exchange for Joe Cabrera, Frank Marshall, Randy Loun.
Apparently we're having an arms race. And what's an arms race without a response? I figure this team has a two year window left. This uses what I have left in the cupboard to maximize that window. Loud is a middle of the order bat who stabilizes the lineup and who will be in his prime for the next two years. Marshall is an upgrade at the backup C spot who is a serviceable option in an injury situation. Cabrera fills out next years bullpen while giving a solid 6th starter for injuries. It's a lot to give up, but none of the assets I've moved can help in the next two years. The die is now cast.

Just continuing to move out what I can to get some stuff for the future. I was looking at the age of my pitching staff and wanted to get some younger arms in her. getting the #1 pick is always nice and adding Garagozzo might have been a bit much to give for what I got but again he's one of multiple guys who are basically the same and not likely to be big contributors when I have a good team

I got a couple of offers for Susce but took this one because it yielded me the biggest return. With Susce being about to decline, I figured that his value will never be higher and pairing him with Eintertson allowed me to get 2 draft picks and 2 prospects that add to my prospect pool, which is not yet very good. Moving Einertson also creates some space to allow me to give playing time to some kids who probably need it as well and he was not likely going to be a long term part of the solution here.

Exactly, a bit of nostalgia.
Both Keerl and Duffy are winding down great careers that have been split between LA and Atlanta, When I DFAd Keerl a couple of days ago Atlanta messaged about making this deal and once Keerl cleared, I actually thought someone might claim him for his leadership, the deal was done.
Keerl was drafted by Tampa #1 overall in 2087 and made 53 starts for the Eagles over 3 years before I plucked him #1 overall in the 2091 expansion draft. Keerl spent most of 2091 in the minors, gaining 9 improvements, before a September call up and then spent the next six seasons at the top of the Miracles rotation helping Los Angeles make three trips to the playoffs while making four All Star appearances. After the 2097 season I knew it was time to rebuild so on April 7th, 2098 I dealt Keerl along with Harry Kilmer and prospect Rich Gott to Atlanta for what I described at the time as "a handful of magic beans". Keerl continued to excel in Atlanta making six AS teams, winning 4 Cy Young Awards and helping Atlanta to five playoff appearances and a Championship in 2099. Overall Keerl's only issue was health, he was injured an amazing 18 times and missed an incredible 402 days (more than 2 full seasons) due to injuries.
Duffy was Los Angeles' 1st pick in the 2092 draft, 10th overall, and spent just over a year and a half in the minors before getting the call to the majors. From 2094-2101 Duffy was the Miracles starting RFer and primary power threat, launching 232 homers during those eight years while driving in 784 runs. During that period Duffy lead the BHL in homers three times and in 2099 he lead the entire league in doubles, home runs and RBI while posting an average over .300 for the only time in his career. LA made the post season three times during Duffy's tenure but on opening day 2102 he was dealt to Atlanta for a pair of 1st round picks where he continued his "all or nothing" career averaging 27+ bombs a year and leading the league in 2105 with a career best 42 home runs. Low contact hitters with poor speed don't age well however and by 2107 Duffy was back in the minors which lead to today's deal.
I don't know what Atlanta's plans are but I'll bring Duffy up in September and let him watch the last month of his career from a major league dugout.

I noticed from trolling people's rosters that Boston had a glut of pitching and was in a position that he was possibly going to lose someone for nothing with people coming off the DL so I approached him about moving someone.
This is what we settled on - In Briggs I hope to get a capable bullpen arm for a few years and a 2nd round pick seems to be what this type of guy goes for.

A trade has been completed between the Atlanta Silverbacks and the Boston Pops. The Boston Pops receive Damian Thomas from the Atlanta Silverbacks in exchange for Allan "Hy" Flier.
With recent injuries to two of my most versatile players (Mahoney and Falcone) I went from having solid depth to not having nearly enough in my infield. And with one of my remaining regulars sporting D- health I started looking around for a solid, older vet (equals NOT too expensive) who can still play if called upon. Thomas fit that bill (has played all 4 infield positons) and immediately slides into a platoon role with my other healthy starters. This is a 3-week rental, after that he'll be purely a pinch hitter (but continues to provide me with infield insurance). I've been shopping Flier around (he's rotting in my minors) and Atlanta was willing to give him a shot.

I'm in contention and should be for the next 3-4 years and my catching situation is not great. Remsberg is already two seasons into decline, and showing it while Calhoun has never really been able to sustain any traction at the plate. I looked around to see what was available and spotted Hickey on the bench in San Fran so offered up a 2nd round pick for him and the deal was done.
Hickey has a big arm and hits LHP well, career OPS of .796, so he's an upgrade or at least will be next year as Remsberg's declines continue. Is Hickey worth a 2nd round pick ? He is to me.

Trade #1515057 has been completed between the Brooklyn Bushwicks and the Atlanta Silverbacks. The Atlanta Silverbacks receive Jerry Stairs, Jack Hack from the Brooklyn Bushwicks in exchange for Sam Foulke. http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=12356355
I'm realizing that Mickey Kranepool http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?player=nobody&mode=stats&id=12332577 who I traded for earlier when I needed a catcher is not going to cut it as a starter unless he gets some great improves so I looked through everyone's rosters and noticed that Atlanta had 2 26 year old catchers. I sent him the same offer for both and this is the 1 her took. Stairs is unnecessary since I'll have Kranepool as a back up and Hack is not a great prospect in my view so I'm happy to hopefully have my catching situation under control for a while.

Everyone can be traded on this team... including someone in the running for rookie of the year. Foulke and even Kent are probably too old for the full rebuild so getting a 22 year old seemed better for one of them. Kent is a little younger and has a little more power (and a better arm) so I kept him. Hack to me is going to be a pretty good power hitter and will fit in with the small confines in Atlanta.
That said, the lines are still open and any Silverback is tradeable.

Trade #1515253 has been completed between the Cincinnati BleacherBums and the Seattle Spurs. The Seattle Spurs receive Brant Luebbe, Draft Pick - 2108 Round 3 (CIN) from the Cincinnati BleacherBums in exchange for Draft Pick - 2108 Round 2 (SEA).
I reached out to Cincinnati about a few of their pitching prospects and potentially swapping for one of my minor leaguers. We weren't a match in that respect, but CIN indicated that Luebbe would be available for a draft pick. After a few offers/counters, we settled on this.
I am giving up an early second round pick and moving down from 17-21 in the draft to somewhere around 37-41. But, if Luebbe continues to develop well (~20% improvement in the minors at 24), then he could hit high B-/A+. If so, he could be a strong back-end starter on a contender. If not, he'll be an innings eater on my rebuild and hopefully a good mentor down the line! If this is a particularly strong draft, maybe I'll regret giving up the 17th overall pick, but I like Luebbe's upside enough to take that risk.

I was looking to add some improved pitching depth and paying a late 2nd rnd pick (30th at best) to get a guy who with some luck can be very good and without luck is probably a serviceable rotation filler seemed reasonable, especially when I have 4 picks left in the top 20ish range already. Little late getting this up there, honestly thought that I already posted it but noticed that it didn't go up tonight

I needed roster space and offered Coulter up for a 3rd to three teams, Atlanta accepted. Coulter is excellent value for Atlanta in my opinion, in 731 career plate appearances against RHP he has an OPS of .755 and I feel it's unlikely they would get that from this year's 3rd round pick. At OS29 Coulter can help Atlanta as they rebuild at little cost .

Boston and I were very close to dealing Hollingsworth for a depth bat with some draft picks going back and forth last year but he ran into some injury problems and the deal was scuttled. He came back to me to see if I was still interested and agreed on this. I'm hoping that he gets some control improves and becomes a nice bullpen arm. He wasn't going to get a chance to pitch in Boston so he shipped him out for a better draft pick

As BigMac noted Hollingsworth wasn't going to make my squad and I was hoping to get something for him (he still has some upside but needs to be in the majors now)! Brooklyn felt a 2nd round pick straight up was too much so we ended up adding other picks and the deal got done.

I needed room for Jack Hoyle on my major league roster and looked around for someone who could use a veteran bat and made this offer to Philly. Killer sent me a message stating that he wanted to see what the waiver wire might bring and I said fine. I didn't think he'd get a hitter of Gordon's calibre of the WW but couldn't fault him for exploring the free player route. April 8th came and went and the deal was done.
Gordon's contact, on a team with a number of low contact high power hitters, limited him and he never was able to secure a starting job however he was a great 4th OFer and as we all know with our injury system those guys are very nice to have. Gordon is, however, OS33 and I have OS27 Hoyle who needs to move up so I was comfortable moving Gordon. In addition my minor league system is getting long in the tooth with Coyne, Crandall and Rios likely graduating in the next year or two I need to start adding some picks.
For Philadelphia they get a solid hitter who can play all three OF positions and should help them remain outside the penalty range while they continue to rebuild.
