Wasn't referring to yourself either, Rich! You're absolutely right each owner should be allowed to run their team as they see fit..... I actually was agreeing with your thought regarding a possible change.....I salute you for reaching out to Lem.....in the end my rant was for stupid rules that do not accomplish their intended purpose.....as a result the unintended consequences of that rule penalize teams simply trying to rebuild for all the reasons mentioned in the thread above......that and the fact that the same conversation just came up recently in another league.....my point there was twofold.....do we really feel better about the 1st pick in the draft going to a team that wins 58 games as opposed to 47 for example?.....in addition to the fact that I've never found an owner yet that feels better about missing the playoffs by one game because the last place team in the league won 58 games instead of 47.... the actual rant was directed at no one, sometimes my cup runneth over!!! thanks!

To be fair, It does get me a little annoyed when I see a guy giving a SP with a C+ control 30 starts, when there are even better guys on the waiver wire. However, like I said before if they want to spend their money that way, so be it. Whats the alternative? 4 teams that make the playoffs get the last 4 picks and the other 12 teams pick in reverse order? So some team with 90 wins gets the #1 pick and some team with 60 wins gets the 12th pick? Its an incentive to win as many games as possible but then the bad teams dont get better. I dont really know

the point being what annoys one owner about what is perceived as tanking might be 56th on the list of the next owner......yet were Raines in the minors it would be possibly be perceived as tanking by an owner because someone picked up a C+ control pitcher.......and yet in this case all either owner is really doing is trying to find someone who can win him some games.....

Not to mention the act/art of accusing someone of tanking is far short of being an exact science.....with the list of definitions of tanking from one owner to another being as long as Hillary Clinton's email server......3 owners could have been accused of tanking.....this season half way through I'm looking like a champ at this point and you're close to the magical line of owner happiness.....Frostee, I can't tell you how many move/roster changes you made going into this season..... but mine was a BIG FAT ZERO.... Yea, we're tankers alright!:P:rolleyes:
