The Yanks kicked the AAA Columbus Clippers to the curb last week, after 28 seasons. Had a chance to grab AAA Scranton, and they did it. In about a weeks time, my hometown Clippers signed on with the Nats. So, I guess I'll be able to watch the 2008 or 2009 World Champs playing and maturing in good old Cooper Stadium.September 20, 2006 at 08:08PM View BBCode
It looks like the O's are going to end up with the Norfolk Tides, with the Lynx moving to Allentown and shifting to the Phillies AAA affiliate. A lot of AAA movement this offseason.September 20, 2006 at 08:21PM View BBCode

Haha... The one I posted was never said to Dick Vernon. But you knew that anyway.September 21, 2006 at 06:26PM View BBCode
So that leaves the Mets where? If Washington's AAA affiliate moves to the IL, that leaves New Orleans in the PCL for the Mets.September 21, 2006 at 06:31PM View BBCode
Yeah, probably New Orleans.September 21, 2006 at 06:39PM View BBCode
Picking up Norfolk (since the Nationals are the closest team and the faraway Braves are the 2nd closest) would seem to make more sense than Columbus, but it looks like everything's already been done.September 21, 2006 at 11:01PM View BBCode

Ahh, I meant that it's in the other direction from DC, and the Braves have a monopoly over the South.September 22, 2006 at 12:56AM View formatted

I already knew this but didn't put it all together till now. Tim freaking Foli is the manager for the Nats AAA team. Looks like he could be here in Columbus managing the Hometown Heros!Pages: 1
