Lottery results are in! Tiebreakers are in!

February 01, 2005 at 06:42PM View BBCode

Round One Lottery only

1. Chicago NL
2. Cincy
3. KC
4. Brooklyn
5. St. Louis
6. Detroit
7. Philly
8. Baltimore
9. NY AL
10. Chic AL
11. Cleveland
12. NY NL
13. Washington
14. Milwaukee
15. Boston
16. Pittsburgh

The numbers were counted before the draft by Rev for completeness and pulled by Rev. Thank him if you moved up, and mutter at him if you moved down. I'll come up with a trading menu later but that is the order.

6. Cleveland to Detroit (DONE)
7. Chic NL to Philly (DONE)

I concur with this list of trades, looks good

The only thing I'm wondering about is whether or not ABE will properly rank WAS at 11 and NYN at 12, as we can see is the case by winning pct (both had 89 wins but WAS had 1 extra loss). If ABE goes by pct, we're fine.

HOWEVER, if ABE goes by wins only, he may consider WAS and NYN as a tie for the 11th pick. If this is the case, AND it randomly chooses NYN to get the 11th slot instead of WAS, we'll have to amend the trades - Buck and Reb, you guys would have to swap the picks you currently hold. Otherwise, you are both already done.

We'll watch for this and hopefully ABE will get it right - maybe somebody knows off-hand if he will go by pct here?

The tiebreakers are in!

1. NY AL to Chic NL (DONE)
2. Cincy keeps pick (DONE)
3. Brooklyn to KC (DONE)
4. Philly to Brooklyn (DONE)
5. Chic AL to St. Louis (DONE) accepted by me for Mags
6. Cleveland to Detroit (DONE)
7. Chic NL to Philly (DONE)
8. Baltimore keeps pick (DONE)
9. Det to NY AL (DONE)
10. KC to Chic AL (DONE) accepted by me for Mags
11. Washington to Cleveland (DONE) was incorrect; NY NL was awarded 11th place so NY NL's pick goes to Cleveland (DONE) accepted by me for Buck
12. NY NL (no trade) (DONE) was incorrect; Cleveland trades the pick it got from Washington over to NY NL (DONE) accepted by me for Buck
13. St. Louis to Washington (DONE)
14 - 16 Milwaukee, Boston and Pitt keep their own picks (DONE)

Offer sent to Brooklyn.

It will be nice picking third. I never picked third even when I was losing. Maybe once.

Jeff, your pick goes to Mags, not Brooklyn

Line 3 says Brooklyn to KC.

I didn't see line 10.

Do I need to do a double swap?
Jeff

Brooklyn accepted the swap. I guess now Brooklyn needs to swap with Mags.

Okay, all we need is for Palotz to accept the Detroit first rounder and then we are locked and loaded for the deepest draft in LBJL history. Good luck to everyone.

I knew ABE would botch the NYN-WAS 89-win "tie". I can't remember which law it is that describes that - Murphy's? Did you tell anybody Bingle, or should I post a "report problems" on that? It's not so terrible for us because we can redress it, but a Dynasty League would be stuck with it.

I went ahead and noted this irregularity in the LBJL tiebreakers post on Report Problems.

Guess Jet was wrong. Thanks for notifying Tyson for me. I've been sorting through getting the deals done as my top priority today.

Thanks to you for doing all this. I've checked it over and it looks good.
