Um, Miami?

June 25, 2017 at 11:57PM View BBCode

I know this is just a beta site, but that roster is a dumpster fire. The owner hasn't logged in since 4-14. The other team with the same owner (Tampa Bay) isn't much better.

I put a support message in the other day asking to have both teams, as well as KC and TOR, switched to betauser24.

I was thinking about taking them on, as well. Just as well you jumped in first, Bill.

Phish, if you could take Toronto, KC, or Tampa, that would be great.

I could take the teams in the AL too. I have put a message to take KC or TOR a few months ago to admin but got no answer, I will try it again

We could use 2 good owners in the AL East, and one good owner for the AL West. That would balance the divisions pretty well.

So Femgo to the AL East taking either Toronto or KC, and then phish or Beanballs can take the other or Tampa. Then we have Oakland or Minnesota in the AL West.

That plan sounds good Bill, I would take any of those teams, could Chris install you (or one of us) as league commish? That might make team takeovers easier...

Yup. Let them know which inactive team you want.

Do we have 12 owners here? We should do a majors/minors concept like the old Bill Lee League or the current Jimmie Foxx League.

That sounds interesting. So we run the one division as the majors and can call up from our minors? I'd be keen?

Basically. Unlimited trading is allowed between major league club and minor league affiliate. You change the nickname so it would read (for example):

Seattle Aviators (Boston AAA)

There's probably a little more work vis-a-vis logistics ... like only 3 teams in each division become minor league clubs to more or less keep the "purity" of the playoffs in place.

It's an interesting concept that has never been tried on a 24-team level before.

I would embrace this suggestion.

You are viewing the raw post code; this allows you to copy a message with BBCode formatting intact.
By the way, the teams I chaperone in the JFL are for sale. The Washington-Houston combo.

'Course, you also have to *pay* for two teams, and it's a blind league (no +/-, no improvements shown) but at least it's System 5 minors.

Contact CrazedCougars or The_Old_Bear if interested ... especially if we don't end up trying it here.

I like the majors/minors idea.... but imagine this..I currently own 2 NL teams.!

Yeah, if we want to go that route, there may need to be some shuffling around ... I also own two teams in the same league ... or hey, maybe not!

WillyD runs, like, *six* teams, LOL!
