Wow... look at how Pitt pieced together a WS starting staff. Couple guys (Nelson/Shinall) cameout of nowhere and getting 2 high-quality SPs on the cheap.
Pitt - Mike Nelson 30yo A+/A- started as 19yo B-/D+
Pitt - Don Shinall 33yo B/A+ started 22yo D+/B
Pitt - Don Smith 29yo B/A+ started (acquired from Milwaukee at 29yo for playoff 1st and playoff 2nd)
Pitt - Dainniel Reyes 31yo 'A' overall A+/B+ (acquired at 31yo from Detroit for playoff 1st)
That, ladies and gerts, is how you do it.

LAA- Roy Cuccinello 36os 'A' overall C+ A/A- started 22os, 4th rounder D+ C/C
Brkln- Jay Owen 32os 'A' overall A A+/B+ started 22os, 3rd rounder A B/C

Awesome, even if he is the thorn in my flesh.

Thanks, those were two very good teams I squeaked by. I'm glad the offseason stock up paid off, because the rebuild is going to be a difficult one.

Lets hope you guys going into rebuild face the same crummy pool of talent that us current rebuilders have looked at over the past decade.
