officially the biggest cheap shot artist of all time, in any sport.

the hit on peterson sunday was a snapshot of his whole career.

it's too bad, because he's a terrific player otherwise.

only philly phans could appreciate his special brand of scumbagedness... he should be banned or at least suspended.

Surely you've see Roy Williams who makes a habit of deliberately trying to hurt opposing players. Dawkins hits hard-but come on-play football.

Um, no.

yeah, not even close really. off the top of my head i'd suggest albert haynseworth, claude lemieux, dale hunter or even pete rose just for starters.

No, both still alive. Hell, even Malarchuk lived. They're hockey players.

unconvincing arguments, but thanks for playing.

dawkins is a lowlife.

hey bart, got an example of roy going helmet to helmet with an opposing player while that player was ON THE GROUND?

no... didn't think so.

too bad you're blinded by being a philly phan.

Doesn't the fact that no one else is talking about this hit as an all-time "cheap shot" suggest to you that maybe you're overreacting?

Shep, Barterer is a pitt fan, but thanks for playing.

also, dirtiest player in the NFL

I dont really think Haynesworth should be in the conversation because of one outburst, because he doesnt make it his job to try to injure players.

in fact, no one] voted for him in 2006. again not brought up in the conversation in 2008.

So basically, no one agrees with you.

welcome to the 'popular' side of the arguement happy, nice to have you.

(a solid point about haynesworth, by the way, but it was one heck of a single incident)

true, but the fan initiated that, and got whaqt he deserved. not that domi wasn't dirty. that hit on niedermeyer in the playoffs was incredibly cheap.

Let's review the tape on that. (Yes, the guy got what he deserved, but Domi was the first to directly interact with something other than words, which is a huge sports no-no.)

As pointed out Shep I'm a Steelers fan.

You're full of it here for a couple of reasons. First off, one play does not make a career. Second off, you're overstating to say that Peterson was down, he was not yet and he has an established habit of breaking out of piles when everyone things he's done. Third, you're confusing a hard hit with a dirty play. Players that hit hard may sometimes hit too hard. Players that deliberately try to injure other players like Williams, are the dirty ones.

well done.

(no such thing as hitting too hard though. but your heart is in the right place.)

Barterer, Im not a huge fan of Roy Williams either, but i dont think that he is a great example. His big thing was the horsecollar tackle, a tackle that was legal when he first got into the league. The problem is at least partially that he has yet to break a bad habit that was not actually a bad habit when he first joined the league.
